The ECVDI Diploma examination application process
There are two parts to the Dip ECVDI examination: a theoretical part and a practical part. The information given here relates to the application process only. For information on the structure of the examination please go to the Examination Committee page.

Once you have submitted an application form you will receive an email to let you know whether your submission has been successful or not. If your application is accepted, then you will be contacted by the examination committee to make arrangements for the theoretical part of the exam.
2. Practical part of the exam

Resitting the ECVDI examination
A candidate who fails either part of the examination may have the opportunity to re-sit that part on another occasion. Certain rules govern eligibility:
- The candidate may make not more than FOUR attempts at the theory examination and no more than FOUR attempts at the practical examination.
- Candidates must pass all parts of the examination within the eight years of completion of their residency program, or within eight cycles of the examination if it is not held every year.

RESITTING THE PRACTICAL PART OF THE EXAMINATION:

Once you have submitted an application form to resit part of the examination, you will receive an email to let you know whether your submission has been successful or not. If your application is accepted, then you will be contacted by the examination committee to make arrangements for the relevant exam.
Application fees
There are fees to be paid for enrolment and to sit the parts of the examination. These are as follows:

How to pay the fees
Fees must be paid via the EVDI website.
Option 1:
- Send an email to the treasurer, Lorrie Gaschen, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
- State what fee you need to pay and what the amount is. For example: "written exam 400 euros" or "oral exam 400 euros"
- The treasurer will send you a pay pal invoice and you will get a notice from paypal to pay online with a credit card
