Two Residency Positions in Diagnostic Imaging
(one small animal biased track and one large animal biased track)

The Department of Veterinary Medical Imaging and Orthopedics of Small Animals, Ghent University, Belgium offers two 4-year ECVDI residency positions (one Small Animal Track & one Large Animal Track), starting on September 23, 2019.
Team and facilities: the department consists of 5 EBVS specialists in veterinary diagnostic imaging, 2 senior clinicians, 9 residents (6 small animals and 3 large animals), and 2 technicians. On-site imaging facilities include 1 small and 1 large animal radiography unit (Agfa CR and DR), three ultrasound machines (Philips), a nuclear medicine unit (Toshiba), a CT scan (GE) and a low-field MRI (Hitachi).
Duties: the resident will be trained and work under the supervision of EBVS specialists in veterinary diagnostic imaging. The resident participates in everyday clinical activity, is expected to participate in the emergency service for the small animal clinic (every 4 to 8 weeks) and to supervise and teach undergraduate veterinary students.
Qualifications: the applicant must be holder of a veterinary degree and have completed a one-year rotating internship or an equivalent practical experience. Fluent English is mandatory.
