Radiologists (2 x part-time positions)

We are offering the opportunity for 2 part-time, highly motivated, ECVDI/ACVR boarded Radiologists to join our busy imaging department at Dick White Referrals.

The clinician will be joining 7 other board-certified radiologists, supported by 4 ECVDI residents, 2 imaging interns and 3 radiographers. On-site imaging equipment includes: 2 DR Agfa systems, 2 iU22 Philips ultrasound machines, 16-slice Philips CT, upgraded 0.4T Hitachi Aperto Lucent MRI, Philips C-arm fluoroscopy. A multi-leaf collimator RT unit, a third ultrasound machine, a 64-slice CT and a 1.5T wide-bore MRI are being put in place early next year in an entire new wing of the hospital, which will double its current surface to 6000sqm. The imaging department reports over 12,000 cases/year with a variety of caseload referred by 46 other in-house specialists and their 40 residents/interns. DWR currently employs 330 people.

DWR is a busy state-of-the-art small animal referral hospital based in Six-Mile-Bottom, Newmarket, UK, 15 minutes east of the city of Cambridge. The hospital is fully equipped with 5 operating theatres and 6 wards; and includes specialists in anaesthesia, cardiology, clinical pathology, dermatology, histopathology, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery. All of which are supported by 93 certified nurses. The ethos of the practice is to be at the forefront of clinical practice, but also to train students (nurses and veterinary students), as well as the next generation of veterinary specialists. Career development is supported with encouragement to attend conferences, give continuous education outside the practice, teaching residents (weekly mock exams and daily supervision), conduct clinical research, attend weekly journal clubs, weekly in-house seminars, and daily imaging rounds.
