Programme duration: Four years, comprising 5 months employment with Langford Veterinary Services Ltd (“Langford Vets”), 3 year MSc (from July 2020) and a further 7 months employment with Langford Vets.

This is a Residency position in a training programme approved by the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and lasting 4 years, subject to satisfactory annual review of progress. It will incorporate a fixed term scholarship working towards a taught Masters in Veterinary Science during 3 years of the residency. You will be part of the diagnostic imaging team, providing support to the other specialties within the small animal hospital and will receive training in all aspects of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. You will be expected to study for the ECVDI diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. Residents will also be involved in clinical research and will be expected to submit manuscripts for publication based on their research work during the programme. The MSc in Veterinary Science will develop your clinical research skills and enhance universally important skills such as scientific writing, critical reading and statistical analysis of data.

The Resident will be expected to undertake informal group teaching of undergraduate students undertaking rotations and a small amount of formal teaching. The position carries responsibilities for out of hours duties on a 1:4 basis.
You must be a member (or eligible to become a member) of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons with 1 year in a recognized internship or at least 3 years in practice. You must satisfy the English Language requirements for the Masters in Veterinary Science program (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/language-requirements/profile-a/).
Funding: Stipend during MSc, and paid fixed term employment with Langford Vets for the 5 months before the MSc and 7 months afterwards.
