Diagnostic Imaging Intern Position

The section of Diagnostic Imaging at Dick White Referrals (DWR), Veterinary Specialist Centre, Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, UK, offers a 16-month training in small animal diagnostic imaging with emphasis on image acquisition in radiology, CT, and MRI. Depending on performance, this position leads to a 3-year residency in diagnostic imaging.
Team and facilities: The section consists of 8 board-certified radiologists, 4 residents, 2 interns and 5 radiographers/assistants. On-site imaging facilities include radiography (DR), fluoroscopy, 2 ultrasound suites, 0.4T MRI, and 16-slice MDCT. Dick White Referrals has an excellent and varied caseload supported by rotating interns, residents, certified veterinary nurses, and 39 veterinary specialists in the following specialties: anatomical pathology, anaesthesia, cardiology, clinical pathology, emergency and critical care, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery.
The applicant must have a veterinary degree, must be licensed to practise in the UK, and have done a one-year rotating internship or have at least two years’ experience in veterinary practice. The applicant must have a strong motivation to become an imaging resident, must have excellent interpersonal skills, and have a strong technical aptitude.

3) a letter from 2 referees who have direct knowledge of the candidate’s skills and past clinical experience
4) official transcript of University grades (additionally a certified translation into English if the certificate is written in a foreign language)
5) copy of Veterinary Medicine diploma (certified translation into English if it is in a foreign language)
6) a current photograph.
