The section of Diagnostic Imaging at Dick White Referrals (DWR), Veterinary Specialist Centre, Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, UK, offers a 1-year training in small animal diagnostic imaging with emphasis on image acquisition in radiology, CT, and MRI.
Team and facilities: The section consists of 5 board-certified radiologists, and 4 radiographers. On-site imaging facilities include radiography (DR), fluoroscopy, 2 ultrasound suites, 0.4T MRI, and 16-slice MDCT. Dick White Referrals has an excellent and varied caseload supported by rotating interns, residents, certified veterinary nurses, and 28 veterinary specialists in the following specialties: anaesthesia (4), pathology (4), dermatology (1), internal medicine (8), neurology (3), ophthalmology (3), orthopaedic surgery (2), and soft tissue surgery (3).
Qualifications: The applicant must have a veterinary degree, must be licensed to practise in Europe, and have done one year of rotating internship. The applicant must have a strong motivation to become an imaging resident, must have excellent interpersonal skills, and have a strong technical aptitude.
