Radiologist, Pride Veterinary Centre, Derby

Pride Referrals are looking to attract a specialist or residency trained radiologist to join our established team, in a purpose built, state of the art referral hospital in Derby. Pride Veterinary Centre combines the benefits of a specialist led, multidisciplinary support infrastructure with the flexibility of being independently owned by members of the veterinary team.

Pride Veterinary Centre strives to deliver world class patient care, set in the Pride Park development in amongst amazing sporting arenas and commercial enterprises. The foothills of the Derbyshire Dales offer incredible residential value for money in idyllic surroundings, whilst having the urban benefits of both Derby and Nottingham cities on the doorstep, an international airport very close-bye and a local HS2 terminal on its way.

Fantastic facilities provide a superb care environment. 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres, full imaging suite, an endoscopy suite, hydrotherapy pool and treadmills and dedicated chemo & radio-iodine treatment rooms define the setting. The team of more than 70 veterinary professionals at Pride V.C. deliver Specialist led care across all disciplines, collaborating to provide the best possible outcome for all our patients. Imaging facilities include digital radiography, GE OEC Fluorostar C-Arm fluoroscopy, 2 ultrasound GE Logic S7 Expert machines, a 16-slice GE BrightSpeed CT and 1.5T HDE MRI. The imaging team is composed of three radiologists, one specialised intern, four radiographers and dedicated nurses.

Alongside this, there is a Vets@Night service, dedicated leadership structure and support functions such as Finance, Customer Care, HR and IT on site. Pride Veterinary Centre is a teaching hospital, in full collaboration with University of Nottingham Veterinary School. This provides the opportunity to support teaching and research interests as well as the chance to inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals.

A generous salary package, depending on experience, is supplemented with an allowance of 33 days holiday plus 10 CPD days and other benefits such as health insurance and pension scheme.
