The department for clinical veterinary sciences, small animal clinic, offers a 4-year residency position.
Team and facilities:
The department of diagnostic imaging at the small animal clinic consists of 3 board-certified radiologists, 2 residents, 8 clinical trainees (nat.cert.) and 2 technicians maintaining a high quality clinical service for small animal patients. On-site imaging equipment includes two small animal radiography units, one large animal radiography unit, a CT (Philips), three ultrasound machines (GE, Toshiba) a MRI unit (Siemens 3T) and a nuclear medicine unit (MIE).
The resident will be trained and work under the supervision of Diplomates of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and follow the approved residency programme (see ECVDI homepage). The resident will be expected to participate in emergency service for the small animal clinic, and in the supervision and teaching of undergraduate veterinary students.
The applicant must have a veterinary degree that is recognized in Germany and at least 24 months clinical experience since graduation or one year of rotating internship. Being fluent in German and English is mandatory.
