Diagnostic Imaging Internship

Applications are invited from veterinary graduates for an Internship in Diagnostic Imaging. The Imaging Internship is a one year, non-degree program in the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Centre, the newest and one of the last independent multidisciplinary referral practices in Surrey under the guidance of an experienced board-certified veterinary radiologist.
The successful candidate will experience both conventional and digital radiography as well as state-of-the-art ultrasound, 16 slice CT and both low and high field MRI (0.2T and 3T) in a busy, friendly and happy environment with great people and patients! The emphasis will be on image acquisition and there will be significant interaction with the teams in Medicine, Soft-Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery, Anaesthesia, Oncology, Dermatology, Neurology, Cardiology, Dentistry and the Emergency Service where the candidate may be expected to help as required. Duties include the diagnosis, treatment and care of clinical cases and communicating appropriately with staff and clients. Night and weekend duties will be assigned on a rotating or ad-hoc basis as required.
The internship should prepare a veterinarian to do quality diagnostic imaging in general practice or assist them in the search for an advanced specialty training such as a Diagnostic Imaging Residency.
Applicants should be eligible for membership of the RCVS and be fully registered with the RCVS prior to starting the position.
