We are seeking a Board-certified Radiologist (permanent, full-time, Equine only) to join our equine health care team. We also welcome applicants who are nearing the completion of their residency training and waiting to complete board exams.
We are currently a busy and growing multidisciplinary equine hospital looking for a Radiologist to develop our Diagnostic Imaging Service. We anticipate that our Diagnostic imaging team will work closely with both the rest of the team. The team currently includes 3 equine vets, 2 are anesthesiologists and general medicine vets with strong experience in clinical orthopedics, one is an equine surgeon with good experience in orthopedic surgery. After hours and weekend care is provided through our emergency clinic and critical care service staffed with 3 full/part-time emergency nurses and young veterinarians.
The candidate’s responsibilities will include development and support of the radiology department. We envision a truly collaborative environment. A good complement of on-site diagnostic imaging equipment includes 2 mobile radiography systems (both are wireless, one is Examion the other one is Fuji), 2 Sonosite ultrasound unit (1 Micromaxx, 1 Edge, 3 probes each), 1 ESAOTE MyLab 9 unit (with elastography and 2 probes), GE fluoroscopy unit, Hallmarq Standing MRI unit.
La Teste Equine Veterinary Clinic is a 24-hour emergency and referral specialty hospital, which operates out of a 400m2 facility in a beautiful sport horses and race horses (500 thorougbreds and around 100 sporthorses) domain. The hospital is undergoing a strong expansion this last 5 years as the ever-growing caseload and expanding specialty services can prove.
Opportunities for professional development include teaching and formal mentorship of young veterinarians. We are also interested in exploring innovative and creative ways to develop fulfilling career paths for clinical Radiologists.
