Position in a small animal Veterinary Teaching Hospital

National Veterinary School of Alfort (EnvA), France

The National Veterinary School of Alfort (EnvA) is a veterinary higher education and research institution occupying a 10 hectares exceptional site located near Paris. Each year the EnvA trains nearly 700 veterinary students.

The small animal Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the EnvA has a solid and diverse caseload (dogs, cats and exotics) and a multi-disciplinary team of clinical specialists and educators. The EnvA invites applications for a clinical-track academic position including the responsibility of the diagnostic imaging service. The team includes junior clinicians (specialized interns) and imaging technicians. It could be completed by a resident.

The diagnostic imaging service has modern, advanced facilities and equipment including digital radiology, latest-generation ultrasound 64-bar scanner, Philips Affinity 50 ultrasonographer and PACS.

The activities of the position include clinical work and theoretical and clinical teaching. The applicant will be expected to structure the undergraduate teaching. Clinical research is not a requirement but can be developed if desired.

The ideal candidate should be experienced in diagnostic imaging and have excellent interpersonal skills. He must be an ECVDI or ACVR diplomate and/or PhD. The minimal required is a diagnostic imaging internship with experience in different modalities including ultrasonography and CT.

Ability to speak French or a strong motivation to learn this language is a requirement.

Form of employment: Permanent and 100% extent position to be started before September 2019. Flexible work requests will also be considered. Salaried position (salary to be negotiated and based on skills and prior experiences, 49 days holiday).
