The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint an outstanding Equine Imaging Clinician to join Glasgow Equine Hospital, one of the UK’s leading centres for equine clinical care, teaching, and research.

The ideal candidate will hold an ECVDI Diploma or RCVS CertAVP in Large Animal Diagnostic Imaging but residency-trained colleagues due to sit exams will also be considered. Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (or eligibility to become a member), proof of or eligibility for your right to work in the UK, a high standard of communication skills both orally and written will be required.

You will deliver a high-quality, referral-level Diagnostic Imaging service (MRI, CT, scintigraphy, radiography and ultrasound) with primary emphasis on equine and other large animals, and an ability to contribute to small-animal imaging where service needs require within the RCVS‑accredited Glasgow Equine Veterinary Hospital.

The role will also involve the delivery of research-led education to undergraduates, interns and residents. There will be flexibility to pursue research or scholarship aligned with your interests, supporting the School’s ambitions for excellence.

The Glasgow Equine Hospital delivers a comprehensive equine referral service, working closely with first‑opinion practices to provide advanced diagnostics, surgical intervention, and intensive care. This is complemented by an integrated ambulatory practice, providing high‑quality 24‑hour veterinary care to the local equine community and creating a broad and rewarding clinical environment.

This post is part time, 17.50 hours per week and fixed term for up to 3 years.
