This is a lovely commemoration of how the college started and how far it has come since its inception. Thank you to the Media Committee for all the work they have put into this and also to everyone who contributed with photos and memories to bring the college history to life.
Radioprotection Committee - IAEA Report
Across Europe and the globe there are different regulations and levels of training on radiation protection. The radio protection committee have been working with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to produce a guidelines looking at Radiation Protection and Safety in Veterinary Medicine. I am particularly grateful to Dr Peremans, Dr Benoit and Dr Weller for their work in producing these guidelines, which focus on the use of radioactivity for diagnosis and treatment to provide the veterinarian in general and also specialists involved in these techniques with guidance reflecting on the safety of all parties involved (owner, helper and veterinarian). As well as practical standard operating protocols for all different applications, guidance is provided on the required level of training to use these techniques.
