A great opportunity for a French speaking small animal diagnostic imaging specialist to join a large multidisciplinary team on the shores of the Leman Lake.
 
Medi-Vet small animal veterinary clinic, located in Lausanne, is the largest clinic in French-speaking Switzerland and has superb facilities. The team is made up of several European and American board-certified specialists including diploma holders in anaesthesia, cardiology, surgery, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, oncology, and ophthalmology. The clinic is both a referral and emergency centre (24/7) and has a high turnover of cases.
 
Lausanne is a very attractive medium-sized city. Lovers of extraordinary scenery, and both water and mountain sports, can take advantage of the superb location between the Alps and the Leman Lake. Benefiting from Switzerland's high-performance rail network and its proximity to Geneva international airport, Lausanne is also very well connected to the rest of world.
 
The position
You will join a team composed of one dip. ECVDI, one certificate holder PgCSADI, one diagnostic imaging intern and one radiology technician. You will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment: a GE Optima 16 slices CT, a GE Logiq S7 US, an Agfa DR and a digital GE Elite II C-arm; all connected to a RIS and a PACS.
As a specialist and in collaboration with the clinic's multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality medical imaging procedures and assessment for internal and external cases. You will be involved in some clinical teaching of diagnostic imaging to rotating and specialty interns and communication with referring clinicians will also be required.
The position is part-time with the working pattern adjustable to suit the successful candidate.
 
The candidate
We are a friendly team and great importance will be given to the candidate’s human qualities and work ethic. Successful candidates must be ECVDI or ACVR diplomates, be eligible to register as a veterinarian in Switzerland and have at least a B2 level in French (mandatory to register). Board eligible candidates will also be considered.
