Programme Accreditation

Accreditation is required for all new residency programmes, and re-accreditation for existing programmes is performed every five years.  Residency Directors will be contacted when their programmes are due for re-accreditation.  Forms are due by 1st March of the year of accreditation review.  The full details are available in section 4.4.8.1 of the Bylaws document.

  • Submit a new programme application by completing the appropriate downloaded form.  Please do not change the file name, but append the name of the programme.
  • When you are due for re-accreditation you will receive an email from the College Administration team.  When you receive this notice please complete your downloaded evaluation form.
  • Email your form to adminecvdi@ecvdi.eu as a Word document attachment with the subject [programme_evaluation_form] brackets included.

 

There is no longer the requirement for the annual Training Centre update however as per Bylaw 4.4.6.4 any significant changes to a programme must be reported to the Credentials Committee immediately. A significant change could constitute:

  • variation of the Programme Director
  • loss of Diplomates from other specialities needed for the programme
  • sick leave
  • maternith/paternity leave
  • premature end of the programe
  • changes in the structure of the KCC, JC, Book Club etc
