About us
La Trinità Ospedale Veterinario per Animali da Compagnia is a growing, dynamic small-animal hospital located in Cadempino, just outside Lugano in Canton Ticino, Switzerland.
We are expanding our multidisciplinary team and already count an ECVN diplomate, an ECVS residency‑trained surgeon, an ECVAA diplomate anaesthetist and a close collaboration with an ECVCP diplomate pathologist.
Our referral caseload is increasing steadily, and we have ambitious plans for further development of our services and facilities.
Our imaging equipment currently includes:
- 1.5T MRI scanner
- 16‑slice CT scanner
- Two direct digital radiography systems
- Three state of the art ultrasound machines
The role
We are seeking a veterinary diagnostic imaging specialist to join our team and lead the development of our in‑house imaging service.
The successful candidate will work across all modalities (MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography), in close collaboration with our teams, contributing actively to case work‑up and hospital decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Perform and interpret in‑house MRI, CT, radiographic and ultrasound studies.
- Participate in case discussions, treatment planning and multidisciplinary rounds.
- Contribute to optimisation of imaging protocols, workflow and quality assurance.
- Support internal CPD and foster a positive, collaborative culture within the hospital.
About you
We welcome applications from:
- ECVDI or ACVR diplomates in diagnostic imaging.
- Board‑eligible candidates or post‑residency clinicians in diagnostic imaging.
Essential:
- Veterinary degree eligible for recognition and practice in Switzerland.
- Completed residency in veterinary diagnostic imaging (ECVDI, ACVR or equivalent).
- Strong interest in working on site within a multidisciplinary referral team.
- Excellent communication skills and a collegial, team‑oriented attitude.
- Good command of Italian and English, additional languages are an advantage.
