Specialist Veterinary Radiologist - Veterinary Specialists of Sydney, Australia
WE ARE RECRUITING
Specialist Veterinary Radiologist
Full time or part time │ On site in Miranda, Sydney, Australia
On-site 1.5T MRI, 64-slice CT and interventional radiology.
An independently owned hospital where innovation has no boundaries.
Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) is seeking an on-site specialist radiologist to join our diagnostic imaging team, full time or part time, as we grow our diagnostic imaging department. We are an independently owned specialist and 24-hour emergency hospital with an energetic, enthusiastic team that keeps improving. This is a rare chance to be an in-house radiologist at the centre of a busy multidisciplinary hospital, with the modalities, caseload and support to build a department you are proud of. If you are drawn to innovation and want to help shape what veterinary imaging can achieve in Australia, we would love to talk with you.
Why radiologists choose VSOS
- Help build the department. Join us as we bring specialist radiology in house. You will help shape imaging protocols, reporting standards, workflow and the direction of the service, with a leadership team committed to its growth.
- Premium modalities under one roof. On-site 1.5T MRI, 64-slice CT, mobile C-arm fluoroscopy, digital radiography and ultrasound, within a 24/7 hospital, so urgent cases can be imaged and acted on without delay.
- Interventional radiology. Our interventional radiology team works alongside human interventional radiologists on minimally invasive procedures, including urinary tract stenting, interventional oncology and arterial embolisation. Our team has performed a world-first elbow embolisation for arthritis in a dog.
- A varied, complex caseload. Image patients for our specialists in cardiology, neurology, surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, emergency and critical care and rehabilitation, as well as outpatient imaging referrals from veterinarians across Sydney.
- Supported to focus on imaging. A dedicated imaging department manager and imaging team, with our specialist anaesthesia team and ICU for sedation and general anaesthesia, so you can concentrate on image quality and diagnosis.
- Room to innovate. Bring your ideas, new procedures and clinical interests. Our motto is Beyond possible, and we live and breathe it every day.
- A stake in our future. We have introduced an equity scheme so VSOS can remain independently owned, with invitations extended to senior clinicians and leadership staff.
