Life in the Cape Winelands
The hospital sits among the vineyards and fynbos-covered mountains of the Cape Winelands, roughly 45 minutes from Cape Town.
Wine and food. Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch are all within easy reach. Some of the world's finest wine estates and restaurants are a short drive away, often for a fraction of what you would pay in Europe or North America.
The outdoors, all year round. The Mediterranean climate brings long, dry summers and mild, green winters. Hike Paarl Mountain or the Jonkershoek and Du Toitskloof ranges, mountain-bike on some of the best trails anywhere, paddle the Berg River, or head to the beaches of the Atlantic and False Bay coasts.
Cape Town on your doorstep. Table Mountain, the Atlantic seaboard, Cape Point, penguins at Boulders Beach and a vibrant food, arts and festival scene are all within an hour. Cape Town International Airport is about 45 minutes away, with direct flights to Europe, the Middle East and the US.
Wildlife and adventure. Whale-watching in Hermanus, the Garden Route, the Karoo and the Cederberg are weekend trips. Kruger and the great game reserves are a short flight away.
A great place for families. The Winelands offers excellent schools, secure estate living and a strong, welcoming community. Many of our team have chosen to make their lives here, and very few want to leave.
