The Vétocéane clinic is a multi-disciplinary referral center located in Vertou, just outside Nantes in France (Loire-Atlantique). The purpose-built building is new and covers 1,400 m2 . The 200 m2 imaging suite is spacious with a view of a magnificent wooded area. It has a confidential room reserved for the imager and dedicated to the reading of imaging studies.

It is equipped with a 1.5T MRI scanner, a 32-slice CT scanner, an ultrasound room with a total of 3 ultrasound machines (one of which is portable), and 2 X-ray rooms. All images are stored on a PACS system (EasyImage).

The imaging service is organized around a specialized veterinarian, a radiology technician (qualified) and a dedicated nurse. It works, in a family atmosphere, in close collaboration with a team of 35 vet nurses and vets, consisting of other specialists (ECVIM, ECVS, DESV chir , ECVD, etc.) and discipline-specific interns.

Vétocéane also has a 24/7 Emergency service organized around an internship programme with a total of 6 interns .

Vétocéane is seeking an imager to join the imaging team either as the department head or as an imaging clinician, depending on the desire for autonomy and responsibility.

Your mission will be :

to provide a clinical diagnostic imaging service through the performance of ultrasound examinations and the reading of cross-sectional examinations in collaboration with other specialists
to participate in the training of our referring vets, assistants, interns and veterinary students through reports, presentations, journal clubs, etc.

You will be able to join our program training center Formaceane as a speaker .

The profile sought is :

Diagnostic Imaging specialist (Diplomate of ECVDI or ACVR)
Or residency-trained
Strong team spirit and leadership
affinity for human-sized teams

The proposed contract is:

full-time (4 days/week) but possibility of part-time to give you the opportunity to carry out remote diagnosis (up to 2 days)
A status of liberal collaborator or employee depending on preference
The position is available from September onwards.
Remuneration:
- - - - 7500 net/month (ECVDI full time 4 days/week) employee or 140,000 €/year collaborator
      - + communication bonus
