Call for Nominations - Consensus Statement Oversight Committee

The Selection Committee requests nominations for TWO new members for the Consensus Statement Oversight Committee.  The Committee is looking for a Chair-elect and one member -  one of these could be an equine imaging Diplomate. 

The Consensus Statement Oversight Committee aims to identify topics that could benefit from radiologist-developed consensus statements from best practices and scientific evidence. The CSOC is a committee created by ACVR Executive council in 2019 as a centralized committee to oversee and prioritize the creation of ACVR Consensus Statements.  Although the committee is under the ACVR, the ECVDI maintains strong involvement with committee members and input from the membership. We function as a liaison between the Consensus Statement Subcommittees, the general membership of the ACVR and ECVDI, and ACVR and ECVDI Executive Council.

Potential committee member attributes:

  1. For all members, it is important to find individuals who are available during our established meeting times which are Monday or Wednesdays at 12:30-1:30, occasionally until 2 or 2:30 EST.
  2. We are also interested in individuals who are willing to perform tasks outside of our meeting times as needed.  This may involve contact and/or meeting with editor of VRU, emailing contacts in other specialty colleges, reviewing and editing our P&P documents as needed, writing up our meeting minutes, and archiving our documents.  
  3. We would like to have at least one ECVDI member, and as of right now we have no members who represent the Large Animal Diagnostic Imaging subspecialty.
  4. The specific role of the outreach member will have responsibilities such as communicating on the discussion boards, developing/distributing/summarizing survey results, communicating to ACVR and ECVDI listservers.
  5. The term is 3 years. If a member becomes Chair Elect and Chair, this extends to 4-5 years, depending on when they are made Chair-Elect. The term is currently Dec 1-Nov 30, however could be aligned with standard ECVDI committee terms.
