Louisiana State University (LSU) invites applications for the position of Professor of Diagnostic Imaging Tenured/Tenure Track or Clinical Track, in the School of Veterinary Medicine, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

Job Description:

TENURED/TENURE TRACK - Provide service in all imaging modalities and for all species for Diagnostic Imaging section of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the School of Veterinary Medicine. Participate in didactic and clinical training of students in the professional (DVM) program. Participate in training of diagnostic imaging residents, and interns within the Diagnostic Imaging section. Participate in scholarly activities within the veterinary clinical sciences department and Diagnostic Imaging section. This position will be tenure-track.

50% - Provide diagnostic clinical imaging service in all modalities and for all species.
50% - Scholarly activities to include teaching and research

Minimum Qualifications:

Assistant Professor (Tenured or Tenure Track) Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree
Must have successfully completed a residency training program accredited by ACVR or ECVDI and must be board eligible for board certification by ACVR or ECVD

Associate Professor (Tenured or Tenure Track) Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree
5 years related research/teaching/ clinical experience
Must have board certification by ACVR or ECVDI

Full Professor (Tenured or Tenure Track) Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree
8 years related research/ teaching/ clinical experience
Must have board certification by ACVR or ECVDI

CLINICAL TRACK - Provide service in all imaging modalities and for all species for Diagnostic Imaging section of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the School of Veterinary Medicine. Participate in didactic and clinical training of students in the professional (DVM) program. 70% - Provide diagnostic clinical imaging service in all modalities and for all species.
30% - Scholarly activities to include teaching and research

Per PS 18- This position is a part of the Emergency Response Personnel - these personnel are linked with the hospital during any emergency response event and are expected to report in and perform as outlined in the emergency response plan. Required to be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds, standing or walking for prolonged periods, able to reach and/or climb a ladder, kneel or sit on the floor, bending, squatting, and/or twisting. *Due to the nature of this position and/or responsibilities, this position is subject to random drug & alcohol testing in accordance with University Policy Statement 67*
