The Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) program consists of seven semesters of preclinical studies on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean and one year of clinical training at affiliated AVMA-accredited veterinary teaching hospitals in the United States and abroad. The primary focus of RUSVM is the education of students whose goal is to practice veterinary medicine mainly in North America and beyond. Scientific discovery is another important focal point for the University.

Position Overview:

At Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, we strive to make a difference to our students and to our community every day. We are seeking a mission driven Diagnostic Imaging professional to join our team either full time or part time. This unique position will be located on our campus on the beautiful island of St Kitts and will deliver hands on diagnostic imaging education to our DVM students. A part time position would leave time available for external remote opportunities such as teleradiology.  We are happy to introduce you to representatives from IDEXX to learn about teleradiology possibilities.

An emphasis on innovative teaching methods and delivery is encouraged.  The faculty member may also be involved in clinical cases throughout the University time permitting. The caseload presented to our on-campus Community Practice primarily consists of dogs and cats with a small representation of exotic species such as birds, monkeys and tortoises. In addition, the University provides healthcare to approximately 200 large animals that reside on campus. RUSVM is equipped with digital radiography and PACS systems. Workstations are positioned throughout the Community Practice for use by students, staff, and clinicians, in rounds or special procedures rooms. Ultrasound services are provided by another colleague through the Community Practice. There is a Diagnostic Imaging student laboratory with sixty viewing workstations and at least two ultrasound machines.
