About us

Since 2006, we’ve been one of the country’s leading veterinary specialist referral hospitals with vets and their teams caring for small animals every day.

Our dedicated vets, nurses and nursing assistants, supported by the administrative teams, are committed to providing the highest quality surgical and medical care for pets. Many of our clinicians are nationally or internationally recognised specialists in their field and bring unique experiences to care for pets. We have a collaborative culture and value our multidisciplinary environment.

We accept referrals for Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Physiotherapy as well as Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) and a Pain Clinic.

We have comprehensive and established clinical and non-clinical programmes for training, development and CPD.

You can find us in Hampshire, just south of Winchester, close to the M3 and national and international transport links. We are in a serene countryside setting with state-of-the-art facilities and are available to look after pets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our vision is to be the south of England’s multidisciplinary veterinary referral hospital of choice, where referring vets, clients and their pets receive the best possible care.

Our mission is to create an inspiring, inclusive, professional environment where the team are empowered to work together to consistently deliver exceptional care and service.

Your role and responsibilities

Due to further expansion of our imaging department, we are currently seeking an ECVDI or ACVR boarded or board-eligible Diagnostic Imager. We are a friendly, interactive and supportive imaging team and the successful candidate would work alongside four diplomates and one board-eligible imager, one resident, one radiographer, and four technicians.

This role includes supervision of image acquisition and reporting across all imaging modalities as well as participation in rounds and resident supervision. We have on site MRI (Phillips 1.5T), CT (64-slice Siemens Somatom Perspective), two Ultrasound machines (GE S8 and S7), Fluoroscopy (Philips Zenition 50) and digital radiography (stationary and mobile FUJI DR systems).

The well-being of all our team members is extremely important to us. We enjoy working together and promote an environment of joint learning, professional development and good work-life balance. We see a varied caseload of unusual and interesting cases and believe in a collaborative approach to challenging patients. Our imaging team works closely with clinicians, participating in decision making and management of cases, to provide an exceptional standard of care.

This position could suit a radiologist in their first-year post-residency and provision would be given for time-off prior to diploma exams.

To be considered for this role, candidates must be:

  1. Enjoying working in a team
  2. MRCVS or hold a veterinary degree registrable with the RCVS
  3. Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
  4. Be an ECVDI or ACVR specialist in small animal veterinary diagnostic imaging or have completed a residency programme.

Benefits

Our benefits include a competitive salary, life assurance, pension scheme, private health care, free onsite parking, and we’ll also pay your pet insurance fees. We also strongly support ongoing training and CPD.
