NDSR has a vacancy for a Resident in Diagnostic Imaging to join our current team of three diagnostic imaging specialists.

We have a large, varied and interesting case load providing imaging support for 30 Specialists in orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, anaesthesia, dentistry and dermatology. 

Imaging facilities currently include dedicated imaging suite with recently installed Canon 1.5T MRI and Canon 16-slice CT scanner, Philips Epiq 5 Ultrasound, Phillips BV Endura C arm, digital radiography.  All imaging modalities are linked to PACS system. The diagnostic imaging team is supported by 4 advanced imaging radiographers.

Candidates must be a graduate from a veterinary school that has been approved by the European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments (EAVEE) and need to be eligible to practice in the UK.  Completion of a minimum of one year in a recognised rotating clinical training programme (internship) or satisfactory veterinary practice equivalent for a minimum of two years is required.  Experience in Diagnostic Imaging is preferred, but not essential. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, an excellent communicator and demonstrate ability to work in a team. Excellent knowledge of English is essential.

North Downs Specialist Referrals is one of the longest established veterinary referral hospitals in the UK.  We have a strong team ethos and promote a good work life balance. The hospital is purpose built and situated in an attractive, rural and sought-after part of Surrey.  Within easy access of Gatwick and Heathrow airports and 20 minutes from Central London by train.
