Perth Veterinary Specialists is Western Australia’s longest established and largest private specialist veterinary practice.  Our current services include surgery, anaesthesia, medicine, oncology, diagnostic imaging, dermatology and an after-hours/emergency service.   

Your role would encompass a full range of diagnostic imaging (sonography, digital radiology, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging) for outpatient and in-hospital patients.  The specialists work closely as a team as well as with referring veterinarians to deliver excellent patient care. 

The future of the imaging department includes a new high-field MRI, advanced 3D modelling software, 3D printing and interventional radiology (if desired).  Academic pursuits, including under- and post-graduate teaching and research are strongly encouraged; your role would also include training and support for residents.  There is opportunity for clinical leadership of the diagnostic imaging department to not only contribute to the future of the imaging department but to PVS as a whole. 

We are offering a competitive renumeration package for suitably qualified imaging specialists, which will include flexible hours, 5 weeks annual leave and 2 weeks study leave per year (one week to attend a conference and another week to present). Positions may be part time or full time, permanent or locum, with opportunity to maintain a teleradiology contractif desired.  Future options for financial share-holding may also be on offer to the right person.
