Head of Diagnostic Imaging, Willows Veterinary Referral Centre, Solihull, UK

Be part of the clinical leadership of one of the UK’s leading small animal veterinary referral centres!

An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join our Diagnostic Imaging team as Head of Diagnostic Imaging at our Specialist multi-disciplinary referral centre, expanding our current team. The successful applicant will hold an RCVS, American or European Diploma (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Imaging, will have the personnel skills and enthusiasm to lead the Diagnostic Imaging team in a dynamic and thriving clinical environment, and will further drive the ambitions of a world-class team of imaging Specialists, Residents and Radiographers. They should share our aim of providing excellent levels of care for our patients, clients and referring Veterinary Surgeons.

Willows Imaging team, comprising five Specialist Diagnostic Imagers, two Residents, a highly experienced Radiographer and six Imaging Nurses, provides exceptional imaging support for our multi-disciplinary Specialists across Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Orthopaedics and ECC. As Head of the Diagnostic Imaging team you would motivate, inspire and lead the team through current and future developments to the service and as part of the clinical management team help define hospital strategy.

This is ideally a full-time position, however, a part-time position could also be considered. Hybrid roles dovetailing with teleradiology work are also available. Some provision for off-site reporting could also be supported.

Images are reviewed and reported in the spacious diagnostic imaging suite on Osirix dedicated workstations, and stored on Fuji PACS and Siemens Syngovia, from which they are available throughout the practice. There is also off-site VPN access to PACS.

The position will be well remunerated and the package includes generous time off for holidays, CPD and involvement in professional committees. Out-of-hours emergency service provision is shared amongst the Imaging team.
