Applications are invited from veterinary graduates for a Professional Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (Residency) in Diagnostic Imaging (Small Animal Track).  The role is based in the Hospital for Small Animals and the Equine Hospital at the School.

For the first three months, you will take the role of Intern in Diagnostic Imaging. Following this pre-registration period, and subject to mutual agreement, you will be enrolled with the University of Edinburgh on the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVetMed) postgraduate programme for four years.  During the DVetMed programme, you will also enrol with the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI) on a residency training programme for thirty-eight months.  Prior completion of a one-year internship or equivalent experience in clinical practice is required and experience in diagnostic imaging would be preferred.  Applicants must be eligible for membership of the RCVS and have fully registered with the RCVS at the time of appointment. Applicants should also hold appropriate English language qualifications where applicable.

The scholarship attracts an annual tax-free stipend of £20,018.03 with a supplement payable for on-call duties and an additional allowance of £600 per annum available for approved travel, examination fees and CPD. Postgraduate fees will be paid by the University of Edinburgh at UK level.
