AniCura Ospedale Veterinario “I Portoni Rossi”, Zola Predosa, Bologna, Italy

We are offering three positions for a 3-year residency program in veterinary diagnostic imaging leading to the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (small animal biased track).  The residency is based in the AniCura Veterinary Hospital “I Portoni Rossi” (Zola Predosa, Bologna, Italy). Facility includes 128-slice CT, 1.5 T MRI, two ultrasound rooms, digital radiography and digital fluoroscopy, in a modern working environment with a varied caseload and excellent multidisciplinary support. 

We are also offering two positions for 1-year internship program in small animal veterinary diagnostic imaging with rotation in all imaging modalities.

Minimum qualifications for entry into residency program:

  • Must be a graduate from a veterinary school that has been approved by the European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments (EAVEE).
  • Must be registered/licensed to practice veterinary medicine and surgery in Italy.
  • Must have a satisfactory moral and ethical standing in the profession and the community.
  • Must have completed a minimum of one year in a recognized general clinical training program (specialized internship) or satisfactory veterinary practice equivalent for a minimum of two years.
  • Must have a working knowledge of English and Italian.

  • Must be a graduate from a veterinary school that has been approved by the European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments (EAVEE).
  • Must be registered/licensed to practice veterinary medicine and surgery in Italy when the program start.
  • Must have a satisfactory moral and ethical standing in the profession and the community.
  • Must have completed a minimum of one year in a recognized general clinical training program (rotational internship) or satisfactory veterinary practice equivalent for a minimum of two years.
  • A working knowledge of English is strongly recommended, and KNOWLEDGE OF ITALIAN IS NOT NECESSARY.

Candidates are expected to provide a letter of intention, a complete resume and two reference letters.  A personal interview will be performed on a short list of selected candidates.

These positions are sponsored by Antech Imaging Services (AIS). Funding is provided to the clinic by AIS for the cost of the resident position with a three year commitment to work for AIS upon completion of residency training and achievement of diplomate status.
