Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging Senior Clinician Position

The Department of Clinical Sciences (Diagnostic Imaging Section) of the University of Liège, Belgium is opening a position for a senior small animal clinician, starting September 15, 2022.

Pre-requirement is board certify diplomate in diagnostic imaging (Dipl. ECVDI or ACVR) or fully trained resident. Knowledge of spoken French is required in order to interact with students and colleagues or an intensive language course should be followed. Educational experience would be considered as an advantage.

The team is composed of 4 ECVDI diplomates, 2 senior clinicians, 4 residents (3 small animal and 1 large animal), a diagnostic imaging intern and 3 technicians.

The Diagnostic Imaging Section is equipped with DR, ultrasound, CT scan (64 slices), 1.5 T MRI and a Standing Equine MRI unit (Hallmarq). The senior clinician participates and takes primary responsibility in every day small animal clinical activity. Part-time position is possible. Development of research activity in diagnostic imaging is also a possibility (pHd thesis, etc…). She/he will be actively involved in clinical teaching to the students of the 2 last clinical years, interns and residents.

The candidate should have enough self-awareness and good interpersonal skills, be a strong team player and sound communicator. She/he should wish to operate in a multidisciplinary collaborative environment and accept responsibilities.
