The “Centre Hospitalier Vétérinaire (CHV) ANICURA AQUIVET” is seeking a board certified or board-eligible radiologist (ECVDI or ACVR) to join our current team of small animal specialists.
AQUIVET is a 2006 established referral and emergency practice, housed in a dedicated 1000 m2 hospital located in the periphery of Bordeaux, France.
We are planning to move to a brand new 2800 m2 Hospital in 2024.
We offer multiple speciality services in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Physiotherapy. A 24-hour, 7 days a week emergency service is also available on site. All services work together in order to offer excellence in patient care, owners and referring veterinarians satisfaction. Patient care and teamwork are emphasized. A highly friendly work atmosphere and a good work/personal balance are paramount to us. A well-trained team of 35 veterinary technicians/nurses is dedicated to patient monitoring and treatments, and completes our team of 39 veterinarians.
The successful applicant would work within the Radiology Service with one board-certified veterinary radiologist, a consultant board certified veterinary radiologist, a radiology clinician and a team of 4 dedicated nurses. Publication, CPD and staff training are encouraged and supported but not mandatory. A full-time 4 day-a -week position would be preferable but a part-time position is possible. Locum could also be considered in the short term during the recruitment period.
Our facility consists of 9 examination rooms, and is fully equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound room, endoscopy room, 3 surgery suites, in-house laboratory, in-house 84 slices CT with angiographic features and physical therapy room. Access to an off-site 1,5 T MRI and fluoroscopy suite/cath lab is available on a weekly basis.
Bordeaux is a rapidly growing city, located in the very attractive area of South Western France. Its historical 18th century centre is classified and protected by the UNESCO. Bordeaux international Airport is connected with all French cities and most European capitals.
Bordeaux lies within the famous Bordeaux vineyard, one-hour drive from the Atlantic coast, 2,5 hour-drive from the Pyrenees Mountains and 2 hour-journey from Paris by train. It offers multiple opportunities for outdoors activities, culture, theatres, museums, and constitutes a friendly environment for raising children.

Salary: based on the applicant’s experience
