About us:

VSOS is independently owned and operated by a board-certified surgeon (Dr Levien) and board certified internist (Dr Graham). In 2020, we opened our brand-new world class specialist and 24-hour emergency centre called the Advanced Treatment Centre (ATC) and have grown to over 200 employees. Currently, we have specialists (and Professors!) in internal medicine, surgery, critical care, dermatology, exotics and anaesthesia and are complemented by residents, specialty interns, rotating interns and nursing staff and more.

  • Dedicated interventional radiology department
  • Three fluoroscopy units including the latest Philips Zenition
  • Three ultrasound machines including the Philips Epic Elite with cardiac package

Our imaging department has a high case load of both routine ultrasound and x-rays, as well as advanced imaging procedures daily along with our interventional radiology cases including lower urinary tract disease, intra-arterial chemotherapy, prostatic embolization, and vascular stenting. The imaging department is the centrepiece of the hospital and our CT/MRI machines are run by two highly experienced radiographers. Furthermore, if you aspire to have your own resident on the service, there is certainly scope to provide for this as the hospital continues to grow.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be adaptive, have an open mind, is willing to learn, be a team-player and have exceptional communication skills. We love to work as a team and bounce ideas off one-another; sharing of knowledge, technique, and experience with each other is vital. A sense of humour is important, as is the ability to have fun. We are a growing team who are full of enthusiasm, and we would like applicants to share the same values. Aside from the usual expectations, the role of a specialist radiologist requires proficiency in image guided sample collection in both ultrasound and CT, fluoroscopic swallow studies,  as well as an interest in interventional radiology would be desirable. A proficiency for echocardiography would be highly regarded, but not essential.
