Staff Clinician in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (Clinical Educator Track) – Fixed Term (Maternity Cover), Royal Veterinary College, Hertfordshire, UK

We invite applications for a full time Staff Clinician in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (maternity cover position) in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. The service is integrated into the large team of specialists at the RVC’s Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, located in our Hawkshead Campus, a 15-minute train ride from the centre of cosmopolitan London and near a number of international airports.

You will be expected to take an active role in the clinical activities of the section, providing an efficient and proactive approach to clinical duties resulting in the highest standards of clinical care for patients as well as undertake an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching including formal and informal group teaching and seminars for undergraduates. You will also be expected to supervise and mentor postgraduate students as required.

The section is equipped with a 1.5T MRI (Philips Intera), a state-of-the-art CT scanner (Canon, Aquilion One Genesis) with power injector, high end ultrasound unit (Samsung RS80A), digital radiography (SoundEklin, true DR C-series) and fluoroscopy (Siemens, Axiom Iconos). A gamma camera is available in the associated Equine Diagnostic Centre, though majority of work is focused in small animals.
