We invite applications for a Staff Clinician/Lecturer in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. We welcome newly trained specialists looking for a large collegiate team to further consolidate their skills, as well as more established specialists who thrive in teaching and want a better work-life blend.

You will be expected to take an active role in the clinical activities of the section, providing an efficient and proactive approach to clinical duties resulting in the highest standards of clinical care for patients as well as undertake an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching including formal and informal group teaching and seminars for undergraduates. You will also be expected to supervise and mentor postgraduate students as required.

The section is equipped with a 1.5T MRI (Philips Intera) and 3T MRI (Siemens Magnetom Vida), a state-of-the-art CT scanner (Canon, Aquilion One Genesis) with power injector, high end ultrasound unit (Samsung RS80A), digital radiography (SoundEklin, true DR C-series) and fluoroscopy (Siemens, Axiom Iconos). A gamma camera is available in the associated Equine Diagnostic Centre, though majority of work is focused in small animals.

We are looking for candidates with a RCVS registrable degree in veterinary science, who hold or are eligible to sit the examination for a postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.

We offer a generous reward package including:

  •  Competitive and attractive pension package
  • Generous 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and concessionary days)
