Join our dynamic team at The Ralph in southeast England (Marlow), the UK’s largest independent multidisciplinary specialist referral centre, where we’re offering a unique internship opportunity.

You will join our large team (~260 Ralphers) in a hospital with a busy referral caseload and excellent facilities.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic veterinary surgeon with a keen interest in veterinary diagnostic imaging to start a one-year speciality internship. The start date is open for discussion, and the internship may be extended by mutual agreement.

The successful candidate will join our thriving Diagnostic Imaging team, which comprises four Board-certified Diplomates, one Staff Clinician in Diagnostic Imaging, and two interns.

At The Ralph, you will be exposed to a full and varied imaging caseload and receive training in all four imaging techniques (radiology, ultrasound, CT and MRI).

We are an enthusiastic and progressive team committed to delivering excellent standards of practice.

During the internship, you will work in close contact with diplomates in all disciplines, including Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Cardiology, Dentistry, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Soft Tissue Surgery, and also our excellent Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation team. Our well-established ICU, with its specialist ECC team, provides a diverse and interesting caseload. Our Cardiology team undertakes a range of cardiac interventions, including more novel techniques alongside a human paediatric cardiologist.

You will receive pastoral support from within your service, our Resident and Vet Intern Support Officers, and others. You will have regular check-ins and feedback opportunities.

Marlow is located on the River Thames between Henley and Windsor in southeast England. This is a beautiful area with lovely walks, water-based activities and more. Our hospital is just off the A404 with easy access from the M4 and M40 motorways and close to London. Marlow is conveniently located only 25 minutes from Heathrow Airport, 45 minutes from Luton Airport and one hour from Gatwick or Stansted Airport.
