The Role
Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Radiologist to join their team.

We offer a four-day working week (full time), six weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, excellent salary package with a generous employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, generous illness pay, income protection cover, as well as professional and association fees paid.

The practice actively encourages both the giving and receiving of CPD to further the education of their employees, with an annual allowance of up to £5000 and 10 days.

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be working 40 hours, 4 days per week, 8:30 - 6:30 with a 1 in 4 weekend on call.

About Us
Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is located within the New Forest National Park, with commuting distance to the beautiful south coast as well as being close to London and regional and international airports.

Our hospital facility has recently enjoyed a £7-million expansion, consisting of a new consult building, a theatre building and staff facilities, which opened in autumn 2022. Imaging facilities include a 64 slice Siemens Somatom Perspective CT scanner with cardiac software, 1.5T Hallmarq PetVet MRI, two Samsung RS80 ultrasound machines, Canon & Fuji Nano direct digital radiography, and Philips Pulsera & Hologic Insight C-arm fluoroscopy.

With 27 Specialists, 3 Residency-Trained Clinicians, 16 Residents and over 70 Nurses, you will be joining a large multidisciplinary specialist team working to the highest standards.

About the Team and Culture
The team consists of two ECVDI radiologists, two ECVDI residents, one imaging intern and three radiographers. Our residency program is supported by VetCT with scheduled journal clubs, case discussion and lectures.

Applicant Requirements
We require an ECVDI or ACVR boarded or board-eligible radiologist to join the team. The candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and must be MRCVS or hold a veterinary degree registrable with the RCVS. Full-time or part-time applicants will be considered.
